Tyler Perry Gets 2nd Autopsy On Nephew Who Died In Prison, Releases Statement
Tyler Perry is speaking out, addressing the death of his nephew 26-year-old Gavin Porter.
As previously reported, Gavin Porter was found dead in his cell on February 25th. According to reports, he committed suicide, and hung himself with a sheet from his cell. He had been in solitary confinement.
The director released a statement today (Feb. 27th) thanking fans for their support, but also noting the circumstance for why his nephew was in jail. He explained that he hoped that after he served his time, he would come to work for him.
He also referred to the incident as an ‘alleged suicide’, revealing that he had hired a second autopsy and expected results soon. See his entire statement below.
