Drake, J.Cole & The Weeknd Facetime 11-Year-old Cancer Patient Before His Passing [VIDEO]

An 11-year-old cancer patient named Elijah has sadly died this week, but thanks to his favorite three artist Drake, J. Cole, and The Weeknd, he was given the chance to share his happiness after his 3-year fight battling the disease.

Over the weekend (March 29th), Elijah’s cousin, Michael Watson II took to Instagram to shared the heartbreaking news of Elijah’s death. Watson revealed his cousin’s last few touching moments while being greeted by his favorite artist over FaceTime.

In the video, Elijah’s Family announces he has a special guest on the phone.

“It’s The Weeknd.”

Elijah responds,

“Whoa!”

The “In Your Eyes,” singer sweetly tells Elijah,

“I’m so honored to be on of your favorite artists. I love you, buddy.”

Watson thanked those who helped make the FaceTime sessions happen and took the time to urge people to keep those they love close.

“Please lift Kiara, Elijah’s mom, and the rest of the fam up in your thoughts & prayers.”

He added.

“In a time where there seems like so much is out of our control, one thing that we all have the power to give + show others is LOVE.”

Drake was not featured in the clip however, Elijah’s mom Kiara Swope, capture their meet and greet over FaceTime.

Over the weekend, Swope shares her emotional goodbye to her son in a touching post. She writes,

“I lost my first born to a selfish disease but my baby fight a hell of a good fight. I’m so proud to have called him my son. He definitely was the definition of a fighter.”

She continues,

“I’m at peace knowing that my baby is no longer suffering. You will forever be in my heart and I will always cherish the time we spent together Elijah.”
