Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) donated containers of “delicious Mom’s Spaghetti” to team members at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit. The health care organization shared the news last week. The spaghetti reference, it is an ode to Eminem’s 2002 Oscar-winning track “Lose Yourself”.
In the song, Eminem raps:
“His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, there’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.”
Photos of the donation showed containers labeled as “Mom’s Spaghetti” and “Thank you frontline caregivers,” and included the symbol for Eminem’s Shady Records.

As previously reported, Eminem just celebrated 12 years of being sober. The self-proclaimed “Rap God” took to Instagram to celebrate twelve years without drugs, with a caption alluding to his triumphant 2010 comeback song, “Not Afraid.” Showing off his sobriety pin, Eminem typed:
“@eminem Clean dozen, in the books! I’m not afraid.”
Just last month, Eminem admitted to boxing legend Mike Tyson that his road to sobriety after years of addiction to Vicodin, Valium, and exercise was no easy feat:
“I’m used to it now, but it was hard at first.”
Kudos to Eminem for continuing to give back!
