Floyd Mayweather On Secretly Donating During COVID-19: I Will Never Talk About It, As Long As God Knows That’s All That’s Important
Many celebrities are giving what they can to those hit the hardest by the economic effects of the coronavirus. In a recent Instagram video, a visibly emotional Floyd Mayweather Jr. says that he
“wants everyone to stick together and keep believing.”
Sitting on a brown leather sofa the boxing great spoke from the heart,
“I have been dealing with a lot. As far as dealing with the loss of the mother of my children. She was a significant other, a great woman a great person. Dealing with a great trainer, a uncle, a father figure Roger Mayweather.”

After admitting to being flawed despite striving for perfection, Floyd Mayweather Jr. touched on the COVID-19 pandemic and his private efforts to help less fortunate people.
“I am going to continue to do my part. I don’t have to show the world what I am doing. I can do something behind closed doors. It’s not about the money, but the money I will be giving up will be to feed the people and help the people that don’t have a lot. As of right now, in this situation, I will continue to give back and I will never talk about it. As long as God knows I am doing a good deed, that’s all that’s important to me.”
The last few months have been very turbulent for the Mayweather family. Another one of the undefeated boxer’s children, Iyanna Mayweather, is facing serious legal trouble. Floyd Mayweather Jr.‘s 20-year-old daughter with Melissia Rene is facing 99 years in prison. In the incident in question, Iyanna allegedly caught her boyfriend, NBA YoungBoy, with another woman, Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, in his home. After allegedly stabbing the woman, Iyana Mayweather was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

In addition to the loss of Josie Harris, the boxer also mourned the passing of his uncle Roger Mayweather. He was a well-known boxing trainer and also a part of Floyd Mayweather Jr’s training team. Roger Mayweather had been in declining health for years.
