Anderson Cooper Tears Up While Talking To Cornel West About George Floyd’ Funeral [Watch]
Anderson Cooper had Cornel West on his CNN evening talk show to discuss George Floyd‘s memorial service and all things surrounding social injustice for black people in America. During the chat, Anderson Cooper held back tears a few times during the almost 10-minute clip. Anderon Cooper tearfully told Cornel West,
“I never had the honor of taking one of your classes but I I feel like I’m a student of yours and I learn lessons every time you speak.”

“We cry because we care, we’re concerned it’s not about political correctness its not about self-righteousness, we cry because we are not numb on the inside we don’t have a chilliness of soul and a coldness of mind and heart. we cry because we connect.”

Singer/songwriter, Neyo was also one of the singers in attendance. He made a statement during the funeral, that did not sit well with some people on social media. Ne-Yo reflected on Mr. Floyd’s death saying,
“50 states are protesting at the same time, this man changed the world. I just want to thank George Floyd for the sacrifice so my kids can be alright. I appreciate the sacrifice, I really do.”
