Sherri Shepherd Compares Collapsed Guard At John Lewis Memorial To Michelle Williams’ 106 & Park Fall: They Didn’t Stop Because The Show Must Go On!
Sherri Shepherd is sharing her thoughts after a military officer was seen fallen ahead of carrying the casket for the late john Lewis’s memorial.
Loni Love of “The Real” posted a photo of a military member collapsed at Capitol Hill during a memorial for Rep. John Lewis. He reportedly fainted due to the humid climate in Washington, D.C. Loni’s Instagram caption read:
“A member of the joint services military honor guard collapsed in the heat before carrying the flag-draped casket of U.S. congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis to lie in state at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. #repjohnlewis #faint #capitolhill Troops sometimes faint when made to stand at attention in hot and humid weather and are told to not lock their knees to prevent toppling over. He’s fine. Just needed some water…”
But Sherri Shepherd’s comment raised a few eyebrows. A social media user posed this question:
“Wait, so no one moved to help him?”
Sherri compared the military members to Beyonce Knowles-Carter and Kelly Rowland during their infamous “106 & Park” appearance, in which Michelle Williams fell down mid-dance move. She even tagged the ladies of DC3 in this awkward comment:
“what’s interesting is that no one moved to help. Protocol over humanity. I remember when Destiny Child was performing & @michellewilliams fell. @beyonce & @kellyrowland looked at Michelle & kept dancing. They didn’t stop bc the show must go on. Glad he is okay. He’s probably more embarrassed if anything”
Yikes! Was Sherri Shepherd’s analogy accurate? Let us know in the comments.
