Ryan Dorsey Addresses His Living Situation With Naya Rivera’s Sister Nickayla, Amid Photo Of Them Holding Hands In Target: Son Josey ‘Asked Me If Titi Can Live With Us, It’s A Temporary Situation’

As we previously reported, Naya Rivera‘s sister, Nickayla Rivera has moved in with Ryan Dorsey, Naya Rivera’s ex husband to care for Naya Rivera, and Ryan Dorsey’s 5 year-old son Josey.

Reports have been swirling online showing  Nickayla and Ryan holding hands while shopping at a local Target, alluding to them living together as more than family.

Actor Ryan Dorsey has moved in with Naya Rivera’s sister, Nickayla.

Ryan Dorsey recently took to his Instagram addressing the “hatred” he’s been receiving in a lengthy 12 minute video.  During the clip, he says that he’s lost about 20 pounds, and he’s sad everyday.

“I can’t believe that this is real life and I’m about to address any of this nonsense. I haven’t really read the news or social media in months, sometime in July. I usually don’t read comments on my own stuff because I just know how there can be 50 good things said and five negative ones. And somehow as humans we somehow get those five negative ones stuck in our heads wondering how people could say certain things.”

“It’s truly sad that this is the world that we live in, where people were raised to think it’s okay to just spew hatred in general, especially when they make statements about a family who are dealing with a tragedy that I hope is so unimaginable that you or anyone that is close to you ever has to go through.”

On if he is ready to date again he says,

“Sh*t man, I wish I was worried about a relationship right now. Not thinking about this and living with this every day.”

He then went on to address Nickayla Rivera and his new living arrangement saying,

“He asked me if Titi can live with us. ‘I want Titi to live with us forever,’ because she’s now the closest thing he has to a mom. Because you’re going to need all the help you can get as a single parent trying to build your career and navigate this disaster with your child”. 

Adding that it is just a temporary situation, he says:

“And to have to let him get what he wants, what he asks for, and what he needs right now, which is his family. Even though you know it’s temporary and it’s not forever. It’s a temporary situation. After all that he’s had to go through how could you deny him that? And because of what? What some strangers might think, or say, or spew some hatred based on some ill-advised, ill-logical, misinformed tabloid? …. So when you put your child to bed you don’t always have to be alone with your thoughts and you don’t have to be sad any day or night wondering when does it get better. At least you have someone there with you to talk to or just sit in silence and be sad with. You don’t have to deal with being completely alone.”

Prior to Ryan’s statement, Naya’s sister Nickayla Rivera spoke out on her Instagram stating:

“In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends & family. Showing up for my nephew even though I can’t show up for myself.”

She continued:

“I’m not concerned with the way things look because no one can see each agonizing moment we all endure. What matters most I’ve learned, is to show compassion, not to judge others and never take a moment of life for granted. I hope you all can do the same.”

Ryan Dorsey, 37, and Nickayla Rivera, 25, are said to be living in a three-bedroom rental. Ryan Dorsey reportedly moved in with Nickayla Rivera earlier this month. He previously lived in North Hills, in the San Fernando Valley.

They’re reportedly sharing the responsibility of helping raise Josey, who Naya Rivera shared with Ryan Dorsey.

Naya Rivera drowned on a boat trip leaving behind her and Ryan Dorsey’s son Josey on California’s Lake Piru in July.
