Chadwick Boseman Died Without A Will, Wife Asks Judge To Make Him Executor Of Estate
According to reports, Chadwick Boseman died without a will, and his wife Taylor Simone Ledward has filed court documents, asking that she be made executor of his estate.
The Black Panther was 43 at the time of his death. Reportedly, he ‘died intestate’ which means without a legal will. The Blast reports that Chadwick Boseman’s estate is worth $939,000, which included 936,000 in “personal property.” The site notes,
The number seems surprisingly low, but it’s possible this only accounts for the actor’s real estate holdings and not the vast amount of income he recieved from blockbuster movies. It’s possible much of his wealth is held in a trust and doesn’t necessarily need to be included with the probate filing. But, it is odd that someone who was suffering from cancer for such a long time didn’t have a will in place, in case he passed away.
According to multiple reports, the couple married in 2019. Chadwick Boseman died on August 24th after battling stage 4 colon cancer. He was laid to rest September 4th.
