Votes Still Being Counted In Several Key States & No Winner Has Been Determined In Presidential Election
According to multiple media outlets, votes are still being counted in several key states and no winner has been determined in the presidential election. USA Today reports,
Democratic nominee Joe Biden has secured the key battleground state of Arizona. Biden also secured Maine, with three of its four electoral votes.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump had already secured Texas, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Louisiana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas. Biden earlier won Minnesota, Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, New Hampshire, Colorado, the District of Columbia, New Mexico, New York, Virginia, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, Delaware and Connecticut.
As of 3am EDT today (Nov 4th), that gives Biden 238 electoral college votes and Trump 213. A candidate needs 270 electoral college votes to win the election.
Early this morning, Trump tweeted:
“We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!”
Joe Biden tweeted:
“It’s not my place or Donald Trump’s place to declare the winner of this election. It’s the voters’ place.”
He continued,
“We feel good about where we are. We believe we are on track to win this election.”
