Megan Thee Stallion Once Predicted She’d Be ‘A Household Name’ On ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Audition Tape [WATCH]

Before she became the Grammy-nominated rapper she is today, Megan Thee Stallion once set her sights on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop.

The reality show’s official Instagram page released an audition tape from the Houston native. She first introduces herself and says:

“It’s Megan Thee Stallion, a.k.a. Young Tina Snow, a.k.a. the H-Town Hottie, I’m from Houston, Texas and I’m just the best female rapper that’s popping off right now. And on top of that I’m a full-time college student, okay?”

She added:

“My mom was a female rapper. One day, I was 18, I was like, ‘Mom, I wanna be a rapper. I can rap.’ She was like ‘Um, no you can’t, and I was like ‘Yes I can.'”

Before her tragic passing to brain cancer, Megan Thee Stallion’s mom, Holly Thomas, was her manager and led her to the success she’s currently experiencing.

The rapper predicted during her audition tape:

“Megan Thee Stallion is just gonna become a household name. Like when you’re talking about  those poppin’ rappers, I’m definitely gonna be in that conversation.”

Her statements hold true today as she’s currently nominated for four Grammy nominations, including New Artist. Her “Savage Remix” featuring Beyonce landed her the other three: Record, Rap Performance, and Rap Song.

If she would’ve landed a role on the reality show, she wouldn’t be the first female rapper to go on to make a huge name for herself. Cardi B starred in Love & Hip Hop: New York for two seasons as she broke into the music industry.
