Lil Uzi Vert Says He Got A Diamond Implanted In His Forehead Because ‘$24 Million On A Ring Is The Stupidest Idea’
Lil Uzi Vert is setting the record straight on why he decided to have a multi-million dollar pink diamond implanted in the middle of his forehead. As previously reported, Lil Uzi Vert, born Symere Bysil Woods, underwent surgery to have his $24 million diamond placed in his head. After he received his new facial accessory many people criticized the 26-year-old entertainer for not placing the expensive stone in a ring instead of on his body. During a recent interview with rapper Fat Joe, Lil Uzi Vert explained why he decided to place his controversial purchase in the middle of his forehead. He said,
“Imma be real, so I’m picking up the diamond, we were going to put it in a ring. But Imma be honest, I’m Lil Uzi, I’m turnt up so 24 million on a ring is the stupidest idea because Imma look down and that ring ain’t gon’ be there.”
He continued and said that he considered placing the stone on the side of his face like a dermal piercing but he was advised against that because of its weight.
“They said a dermal not gonna work because just of the size of the stone and just from, you know, all the extra weight we got to put on the back on it, it’s not go work right there.”
Lil Uzi Vert also shared that he previously had a piercing in the middle of his forehead before and that inspired him to place his diamond there.
“I had a piercing [in my forehead] a while ago and I said ‘You know what, I wanna put it right here. They like ‘You wanna put it right there?’ Bruh, don’t think it was just a ‘Come on let’s go get his money, let’s take it.’ No bruh, they argued me down. It’s almost insane to the average person, or to any person. But I’m Lil Uzi Vert, like…what can I say?”
