Diddy Is Allegedly Helping Pay For Former Bad Boy Artist Black Rob’s Funeral

Diddy is said to be stepping in to help pay for the funeral of one of his former artists.

Black Rob (born Robert Ross) sadly died at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta Saturday (April 17th). He was on Diddy’s Bad Boy Records in the early 2000s and released hits like Whoa. He was 51 years old.

His fellow former Bad Boy artist Mark Curry said he died of cardiac arrest stemming from a rare kidney disease. Black Rob suffered multiple health issues in recent years including kidney failure, diabetes, and multiple strokes.

An insider told Page Six that Diddy spoke with Black Rob before his passing and “offered help” but “sadly, it was too late.”

Now, Diddy is reportedly doing all he can to help cover his funeral expenses.

“He wants to make sure that Rob is laid to rest with dignity and according to his wishes. He is helping to make the funeral arrangements.”

Diddy also saluted him on Instagram after his passing and wrote on Instagram,

“Rest in power King @therealblackrob ! As I listen to your records today there’s one thing that they all have in common! You have made millions of people all over the world feel good and dance! You are one of a kind! GOD BLESS!  Love.  You will be truly missed!!!!”

Black Rob left fans concerned about his health after he shared a video from a hospital bed, giving well wishes to late rapper DMX.

He said in a second video that he was out of the hospital and explained to fans that he had multiple strokes and suggested he didn’t have a place to live.

While Diddy received lots of criticism for allegedly not helping him, Mark Curry later told fans that Diddy was in contact with him.

“Rob is here and a lot of people want to know how he’s doing but these the same people – they don’t reach out to me…I don’t hate you. I don’t dislike you. Puffy we need your help. And you are reaching out [and] you’re trying to help. We not go say he’s not. Puffy is really trying to help.”
