Paul Wall Reveals He Only Showers Once Every Few Days + Claims He Doesn’t Have Body Odor Despite Not Wearing Deodorant: Eventually I Wasn’t Funky Anymore

Paul Wall has joined a growing list of celebrities who have revealed they don’t shower every day.

Recently, Paul Wall (real name Paul Slayton) appeared on Houston’s 97.9 The Box. While there, the rapper jumped on the trend of discussing his hygienic habits–and he revealed he only showers once every few days! Paul Wall stated:

“[I shower] every few days. I’m not gonna say–‘Few’ is like more than two so it could mean three, it could be thirteen maybe… [But] today is shower day!”

He then proceeded to reveal that he doesn’t wear deodorant either:

“I ain’t gonna lie, I don’t wear deodorant. On mamas. I used to–it’s something you gotta get out of your system. But when I stopped wearing deodorant, I stopped getting as funky when I sweat. I don’t know if it’s just a hormone thing when I got older. Maybe it’s ’cause I got older, I don’t know.”

Paul Wall‘s stance on the matter is notably similar to Lizzo and Matthew McConaughey‘s, as they both claimed they don’t smell bad despite not wearing deodorant.

He then revealed that, while he doesn’t wear deodorant, his wife and children all do.

Paul then explained why he doesn’t wear deodorant:

“I started hearing things about aluminum in deodorant and other things like that. And it be so hard when you go into the store to find some deodorant and it might not have aluminum or ammonium, but it got all these other things. And it’s like ‘Well, how do I know what’s good and what’s not?’ I’m not a scientist, I don’t know. So just out of my own paranoia, I just stopped. And eventually, I wasn’t funky no more.”

He then stated that, since he “wasn’t funky” anymore after quitting deodorant, he resultingly began showering less.
