Whoppi Goldberg Set To Produce Cyber-Stalker Lifetime Film That’ll Star Garcelle Beauvais
Golden Globe winner and The View co-host,Whoopi Goldberg, will be making her way back to Lifetime to executive produce a new movie. The film is called Caught in His Web and it will star The Real co-host and actress Garcelle Beauvais. It’s inspired by one of the first “sextortion” cases in the United States.
The film will also be building off a 2019 article on a cyberstalking case, written by journalist,Stephanie Clifford: He Cyberstalked Teen Girls for Years-Then They Fought Back. It followed teen girls who were cyberstalked and coerced into sending nude photos to the unknown hacker. They discover they’re not the only girls being tracked and harassed which leads them to joining together with other victims and getting help from a detective. Garcelle Beauvais will be playing the detective in the film.

The Lifetime Twitter page announced the future film and Garcelle Beauvais also took to Twitter to show her excitement for her upcoming role.
This is Whoopi Goldberg’s second time producing a Lifetime film – the first being A Day Late and a Dollar Short in 2014. The 64-year-old actress also starred in the movie alongside a star-studded cast.
The film is scheduled to debut next year.
