21 Savage Reveals Why He Wouldn’t Have Worked On Kanye West’s ‘Donda’

It looks like 21 Savage is choosing sides in the long standing Kanye West and Drake feud. Kanye West’s album, Donda, and Drake’s album, Certified Lover Boy, debuted with only weeks in between each other.  21 Savage is featured on Certified Lover Boy on the song Knife Talk and has been praised for it.

In an interview on Akademik’s Off The Record, Drake ended up being a topic of discussion and whether or not 21 Savage would’ve also done a feature on Kanye West’s album. He said,

“Me personally like Imma keep it a brick, I wouldn’t have wanted to be on Donda if I’m going to be on CLB. Me personally. That’s just the type of ni**a that I am.”

The host, Akademik, pushed back and said,

“So Kanye call you, ni**a you not gonna turn that sh*t down.”

Then 21 Savage’s manager, Justin “Meezy” Williams, interrupted and said,

“His kryptonite is loyalty bro it’s the best and worse thing. If he f*ck with you then he feel like certain sh*t nah, he can’t do it.”

21 Savage went onto explain how he has a strong relationship with Drake and that he’s fine with taking sides in this situation.

“I’m talkin’ ’bout when n***as get smoked behind shit… That’s why I said the Donda and CLB shit, I was probably exaggerating a little bit but I fuck with Drake so hard… I don’t know.”
