Erykah Badu Introduces New Radio Station Called ‘BADUBOTRON’
Erykah Badu announced that she’ll be curating a musical experience with a new Sonos radio station. Over the last 25 years the Grammy-winning singer has serenaded many with her own music and now fans will get a chance to connect with the star on another level. The 50-year-old took to Instagram and posted her announcement.

The station she’ll be curating will have a range of genres that include psychedelic funk, retro soul, classic rock, spiritual jazz and experimental hip hop. Erykah Badu captioned the photo,
“Peace peace ! @sonosIntroduces BADUBOTRON, a new curated station coming soon on @sonosradio from @erykahbadu
Blasts off as Erykah Badu takes you outta this world and into her sonic orbit. A space where music genres are stars and the galaxy is filled with psychedelic funk, retro soul, classic rock, spiritual jazz and experimental hip hop. A trip to Badu’s curated station will take your mind exactly where it needs to go.…… note : This was amazing to create together with @jaronthesecret
BADUBOTRON will be available to stream on the Sonos app. A launch date is coming soon. Just from the description alone fans and listeners can expect to hear the On & On singer’s eclectic personality shine through. She said in a statement,
“WELL Listeners can expect whatever they please.
I just want them to feel something. Something new,
something good, something unfamiliar, something triggering,
something that inspires them to peace…. Or war, or whatever they may need.
Music makes me feel soooo great. There are billions and trillions of atomic memories in these notes. I curated this station especially for me… WITH you In mind, of course. I’m grateful.

Erykah Badu joins a few other celebrities that are getting their own stations. Most notably legendary basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, will be hosting a Jazz station curated by Impulse Records to commemorate its 60th anniversary.
