Kanye West Recalls Confronting Drake For ‘Acting Like’ He Slept W/ Kim Kardashian, Says He Hasn’t Seen Divorce Papers: She’s Still My Wife + Calls Signing Big Sean ‘The Worst Thing I’ve Ever Done’

From his divorce to confronting Drake in a star-studded group chat and blasting Big Sean, Kanye West didn’t hold back in his latest interview.

During an appearance on Revolt’s “Drink Champs”, Kanye West, who legally changed his name to Ye last month, explained whether he’d take part in a Verzuz battle. Kanye said:

“Oh, absolutely—but I would need about like four people to go against me at one time.”

When it comes to potentially going against his arch-nemesis Drake he added,

“I’m winning every situation.”

Still, he has no plans to take on his “big brother” Jay-Z. He said,

“Oh, I didn’t think about that one. … Nah, cause that’s my boss, I would never go against Jay.”

He continued to share his thoughts on the Toronto native, stating:

“Drake don’t do an outright diss song… he’s going to set it up like war. He gonna do stuff like live five blocks down the right from you. He gonna go and DM every single girl in your family, every single girl around your family, all your n***as’ girls.”

While it appears to be fun and games between the two rappers, Kanye said things got personal when Drake suggested he slept with Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, before their split. Kanye recalled confronting Drake in a group text that included Kim Kardashian West, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and Travis Scott.

Kanye said,

“One of the lines I said that was legend was, ‘I’m worth more than all of y’all on this text combined.’ I had this conversation with Drake that’s like, ‘I never f***ed Kim,’ but I was like, ‘But you acted like you did… Did you ever DM her? Everything else around it—you know, ’cause it ain’t about just the actual act of it.”

Also in the interview, Kanye shared his thoughts on the #MeToo movement as he addressed criticism for featuring Marilyn Manson and DaBaby at a Donda release event in Chicago. Marilyn Manson also joined Kanye at a Sunday Service event earlier this month amid multiple sexual assault and abuse lawsuits against the singer. The L.A. County Sheriffs Office is currently investing claims against Marilyn Manson.

DaBaby’s feature at the Donda event and on Kanye West’s “Jail Pt. 2” came weeks after DaBaby was arguably canceled for homophobic remarks he made during his Rolling Loud performance in July.

Kanye said of the criticism,

“All the #Me Too—like, when I sit next to Marilyn Manson and DaBaby, right after both of them got canceled, for five songs, you know, it’s like they can’t cancel a song. They’ll hit you with the accusations or somebody who you was with 10 years ago. And also, there’s women who’ve been through very serious things, pulled in alleys against they will—that’s different than a hug, but it’s classified as the same thing.”

He continued,

“It’s power and politics. You know, power-hungry maniacs and just control. This is 1984 mind-control we’re in.”

Adding to the political conversation, Kanye made it clear he’s still Team Donald Trump.

“I still got a red hat on today. I’ll let y’all know that. I might not got it on, but I’ll let y’all know where I stand.”

But he wasn’t as nearly defensive about his former G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean, who announced recently that he left Kanye’s label to launch his own.

While the “Bounce Back” rapper suggested he and Kanye still had a “brotherhood”, Kanye told a different story.

“When I die, it’s going to say, ‘I deserve to be here because I signed Big Sean.'”

Big Sean

He clarified,

“The worst thing I ever done was sign Big Sean…”

He went on to call out Big Sean and former friend John Legend for “com[ing] at” him during his Presidential campaign last year.

“I know this man mama, bro… I changed this man’s family. Both John Legend and Big Sean, when I ran for office, got used quick by the Democrats to come at they boy that actually changed they life. And that’s some sellout s***. And I don’t rock with neither of them and I need my apologies…but n***as is scared.”

John Legend

Big Sean quickly responded on Twitter.

Kanye also briefly touched on removing Soulja Boy from Donda after Soulja Boy recorded a verse for the song “Remote Control”. When asked if his verse was good, Kanye answered with a simple “Nah.” Still, he praised Soulja Boy and said,
“With Soulja Boy, [he] is top five most influential… and I’m not gonna argue with you n***as about this at all. As far as to what we are today.”

Speaking on his breakup with Kim Kardashian West, Kanye slammed Saturday Night Live and alleged that he has yet to see divorce papers, revealing he wants his family to stay together. Kim, who reportedly filed for divorce in February, hosted the long-running comedic show last month and joked about her divorce from the rapper.

Kanye said,
“SNL making my wife say, ‘I divorced him,’ on TV because they just wanted to get that bar off, and I ain’t see the papers. We’re not even divorced… They ain’t no joke to me. My kids want they parents to stay together. I want us to be together.”
He continued,
“She’s still my wife, it ain’t no paperwork.”

He added that he talked to his pastor about wanting his family back as he blasted their nannies, publicists, and the media for negatively impacting their union. He name-dropped networks E!, which aired “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and Hulu, the home of the Kar-Jenner’s upcoming reality series.
“This is my family E! This is my family, Hulu.”
