Kanye West Is Willing to ‘Fight’ For Kim Kardashian Despite Court Filing

Kanye West is still maintaining his marital status despite what Kim Kardashian and the courts have to say.

Rapper Kanye West allegedly isn’t prepared to cut the string with his estranged wife Kim Kardashian. According to a source, he’s hopeful that they’ll reconcile in due time. Meanwhile, Kim’s recent reported court filings have shown that she’s serious about ending their marriage, and she’s not likely to look back.

Someone close to Kim and Kanye reportedly told an outlet that Kanye is willing to “fight” for his marriage. They claim that he won’t allow anything to stand between him and his family–including court documents.

Just last week, Kim allegedly requested to be single by law, asking that the courts don’t allow issues of child custody and property to interfere with her marital status. She has also reportedly inquired about dropping “West” from her name.

An outlet reported that Kim stated in court documents:

“[Our marriage] has irremediably broken down.”

She continued:

“There is no possibility of saving the marriage through counseling or other means.”

Still, Kanye is allegedly confident that he can win Kim back somehow, inviting her to various events. Kim recently attended his Free Larry Hoover concert last Thursday (Dec. 9). Her soon-to-be-ex gave her a shoutout during a performance of his 2010 critically acclaimed hit “Runaway.” He sang:

“I need you to run right back to me, baby…more specifically, Kimberly.”

Kim seems unphased by Kanye’s constant plea for reconciliation. Rumors have been circulating that Kim is now linked to SNL comedian Pete Davidson. The two have been photographed while being affectionate towards one another.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wed in 2014. Nearly 7 years later, Kim filed for divorce in Feb. They share 4 small children ranging from 2 1/2 to 8-years-old together. A source said that Kim is aware of how hard Kanye is taking the divorce. She’s choosing to be respectful about his public displays of discontentment.
