Carl Crawford Of 1501 Entertainment Says Megan Thee Stallion’s Fans Are ‘Bullies’ + Defends New Rapper Martina Marie From Copycat Allegations

Carl Crawford is sticking up for one of his new artists!

As previously reported, Megan Thee Stallion is currently engaged in an ongoing legal dispute with Carl Crawford, the CEO of 1501 Certified Entertainment. Megan Thee Stallion was associated with 1501 Entertainment back in the early days of her career, though she and the label later had a falling-out over contractual drama.

Yesterday (Tuesday, Dec. 28th), some more trouble appeared to get stirred up by an artist named Martina Marie. Specifically, Martina Marie–who’s currently signed to 1501 Entertainment–made an Instagram upload including the term “Martina Snow,” which appears to be a variation of Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Tina Snow” nickname.

For context, Megan Thee Stallion released an album dubbed Tina Snow back in late 2018 and referred to herself by that name in past song lyrics.

While Martina Marie‘s caption was changed numerous times, it always included the term “Martina Snow.” Currently, her caption reads:

“Ok ok y’all got that… but it’s still giving Martina Snow. Soooo ummm yeah.. REAL WINTERBABY S**T.”

After Martina Marie began facing waves of backlash for her caption, Carl Crawford stepped in to address the matter. Specifically, he denied the allegations that 1501 Entertainment was trying to recreate Megan Thee Stallion through Martina Marie:

“I woke up to a bunch of motherf***ers talking s**t to me about some s**t I ain’t know nothing about. But once again, you motherf***ers always want to blame me for some s**t.”

He continued:

“I ain’t do nothing. Am I supposed to just stop signing women artists because we had Megan over here? Do y’all tell major labels to stop signing other female artists or whoever just because they had one f**king artist on the label? Why the f**k all my artists gotta be tryna copy Megan? They don’t wanna be Megan.”

Carl Crawford then explained that the two artists look and sound “totally different” before adding:

“Y’all get upset when QC sign another female artist, or Def Jam or whoever? Y’all keep acting like I put these girls against each other. They’re girls–they talk how they talk! I don’t say s**t.”

He then took direct aim at Megan Thee Stallion‘s fanbase–the “Hotties”–and referenced Erica Banks, another artist who was once accused of trying to copy the rapper.

“When you motherf***ing Hotties do that h*e s**t, all you do is blow my artists up. The same s**t happened with Erica. Y’all ain’t learned that y’all help me out by now when y’all do this s**t?”

Crawford then stated:

“We not getting discouraged about nothing. Ain’t nobody scared of you f**king Hotties, s**t. All y’all do is f**king bully people. Y’all some f**king bullies. Coward motherf***ers who sit behind a desk.”

Shortly thereafter, he wrapped up his comments by remarking:

“Lemme tell you something about these females right now: it’s a bunch of them motherf***ing girls that’s coming. A bunch of bad girls is coming that’s finna be rappers. It’s a whole new thing, it’s a whole new wave coming… It finna be a bunch of girls, just like the guys. So yes, I wanna be in the forefront of that s**t.”
