Gramma Chaka Khan Gets Full Custody of Granddaughter

In mid-September, Legendary soul singer, Chaka Khan (real name Yvette Marie Stevens), made legal attempts to take her 10-year-old granddaughter (Daija Jade Holland) away from her drug addicted parents. According to reports, Khan’s son, the father of Khan’s 10-year-old granddaughter, has a “heavy involvement in drugs.” Because of this, the judge temporarily granted an extension for custody. And this week, she has been granted permanent guardianship of her granddaughter. Tammy McCrary, Chaka’s sister, was awarded co-guardianship.
