More Details On What Vanessa Bryant Gets from the Divorce

On Friday, news hit that after 10 years of marriage, Kobe Bryant and his 29-year-old wife, Vanessa, have decided to end their marriage. Vanessa filed citing “irreconciliable differences.” The couple released a joint statement
“The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012. We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Fast forward to one day later, folks (and us media folk) are speculating on what Vanessa gets outta the deal. Kobe is reportedly worth $150 million (including real estate holdings, stock, cash and other assets.), as opposed to the $400 million that he was originally worth. The couple signed no prenup and it’s a strong possibility that Vanessa will receive half (50/50 split). She is also requesting spousal support, which Kobe has agreed to, as they have already agreed to a financial settlement. Vanessa also gets their Newport Coast home (that was purchased in 2001) and Kobe Bryant has already moved out permanently. In terms of their two daughters (Natalia and Gianna), Vanessa is seeking joint custody.
