Update: Kanye West Paid Settlement To Employee Who Accused Him Of Praising Hitler
Update: (Nov. 3, 2022): It looks like Kanye West had to pay up for his concerning beliefs.
According to reports, Kanye paid an undisclosed settlement to one of his former employees after they accused him of making antisemitic remarks and praising Adolf Hitler while at work.
Allegedly, it’s noted in the settlement agreement that Kanye denied the employee’s claims that he saluted Hitler and the Nazis during work meetings. However, reports state the employee is adamant that the “Donda” rapper praised the atrocious dictator in business meetings on a number of occasions.
Many key details surrounding the settlement are being kept confidential as the former staffer signed a nondisclosure agreement, according to reports.
Original Story: (Oct. 27, 2022): Amid recent controversy, a rather disturbing new story regarding Kanye West is unfolding.
According to reports, sources claim the 44-year-old rap vet has had a longstanding admiration for mass murderer Adolf Hitler. In case you don’t recall, Hitler was the leader of the infamous Nazi army that led the massacre of around 6 million Jews during World War 2. Allegations that West has previously been a fan of the German leader come in the wake of his ongoing spiral following recent controversial statements many have labeled antisemitic.
Reportedly, one source, who asked not to be named, claimed West spoke openly about his Hitler fascination during their time of employment with the rapper. The unidentified source reportedly stated:
“He would praise Hitler by saying how incredible it was that he was able to accumulate so much power and would talk about all the great things he and the Nazi Party achieved for the German people,”
The individual was reportedly an executive that worked for the Yeezy founder but left and sued the company for harassment and a hostile work environment. The source added that West spoke about reading Hitler’s 1925 biographical manifesto “Mein Kampf” and how he admired his ability to control propaganda. Additionally, the source claimed West originally wanted to name his 2018 studio album “Hitler,” but ultimately decided on “Ye,” though the source could not confirm why the change was made.
Another source, former TMZ employee Van Lathan Jr., claimed West made similar positive remarks about Hitler during his infamous 2018 TMZ interview. Lathan says the comments were removed before the episode aired. If you recall, West caused widespread controversy during the interview after stating slavery “sounds like a choice”.
Speaking on Wests’s recent comments, Lathan reportedly stated:
“I already heard him say that stuff before at TMZ…when he came to TMZ, he said that stuff and they took it out of the interview. … He said something like, ‘I love Hitler, I love Nazis.’ Something to that effect when he was there. And they took it out of the interview for whatever reason. It wasn’t my decision.”
The recent “Hitler” love accusations may certainly further ostracize West in the industry. The musician’s spiraling favor within the music and fashion world all stem from comments he made about the control of “Jewish media” during his Drink Champs interview. West has lost ties with several corporations due to the controversy, and recently claims to have lost $2 billion in a day.
