NFL Star Travis Kelce Slams Rumor That He Only Gave Ex-Girlfriend Kayla Nicole $100 During Their 5-Year Relationship: Don’t Buy Into That Sh*t

NFL star Travis Kelce wants the world to know that he may not be perfect but one of his flaws doesn’t include being a cheapskate.

During a recent interview on “The Pivot” podcast, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, 33, finally addressed the rumors that his relationship with influencer/model Kayla Nicole, 30, ended because he was too cheap. Last year claims surfaced that Travis Kelce was extremely frugal while dating Kayla Nicole, only giving her $100 during their entire 5-year relationship and making her pay for half of their dates.

The world may never know why things ended between Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce but the professional athlete is adamant that it had nothing to do with his spending habits. While shutting down the rumors, he said,

“Man, how crazy is that?…Don’t buy into that sh*t.”

Travis Kelce continued,

“I would never say that I was supporting her. She had a very financially stable life and what she was doing in her career. You’ve got to be crazy if you think I’d never helped or gave her a couple [of] dollars to grab some food or she gave me some money…We were in a relationship for five years. A hundred dollars here and hundred dollars there wasn’t even thought about…which is ridiculous.”

He jokingly added,

“The ‘City Boys’ thought we had us one, didn’t we?”

It’s important to note that, despite the claims against Travis Kelce taking on a life of their own, Kayla Nicole did previously try to end them. On May 28 of last year, she tweeted,

“Not sure where y’all got this nonsense from, but it’s absurd and very false.”

However, around the same time as Kayla Nicole’s tweet, an alleged insider shared,

“Travis is very cheap. In the beginning he tried to make Kayla ‘prove’ that she wasn’t with him for the money . . . so she had to pay half of everything.”

The insider added,

“Travis is still cheap. Maybe he’s not cheating anymore – but he’s not breaking bread like he needs to be.”
