Ray J Threatens Tyrese After Actor Calls Out Eddie Murphy For Using Will Smith’s Infamous Oscars Slap As A Punchline: ‘Don’t Play w/ My Mentors, It Won’t End Well!’
Looks like R&B singer Ray J is chiming into the Eddie Murphy, Will Smith conversation.
After actor/singer Tyrese Gibson showed support to Will Smith – following Eddie Murphy referencing the 2022 viral Oscars moment with Chris Rock during his recent Golden Globes acceptance speech – Ray J came through with a heated response.

Reacting to Tyrese telling everyone to just “move on” from the Oscars moment where Smith slapped Rock, Ray J wrote in our Instagram comment section:
“Tyrese better mind his own biz! You not on Eddie level!!! To think you can tell Axel Foley or Hakeem the Prince of Zamunda to “move on already”?? Hes #1 in his acting campaign still to this day! REAL LEGEND! You BETTER show some respect Tyrese! Before Will slap you back into your reality!”

Adding a little threat, he continued:
“- yeah i said it! You know how i feel about you and your antics! Dont play with my mentors!! It wont end well!!”

The current drama unfolding began after Murphy’s acceptance of the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2023 Golden Globes. Giving a little jokey joke while receiving the award, the “Boomerang” star stated:
“There is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve prosperity and peace of mind. Pay your taxes, mind your business, and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your f*cking mouth.”
Subsequently, “Fast & Furious” actor Tyrese chimed in showing support for Smith, who has apologized numerously for the action against Rock. Tyrese took to social media with the message:
“I’m still team WILL SMITH there’s nobody on this earth that will ever influence me to ever have a change of heart towards the BIGGEST INFLUENCE in my life…….”

Adding:
“I’m just saying man…. Move on already I just watched EMANCIPATION for the 3rd time I just can’t believe how masterful this overall movie is…. #MyBrothersKeeper”
Tyrese also posted a lengthy video doubling down on people needing to let go of the moment, where he stated:
“Comedians have been cracking jokes and coming at Will Smith now for a whole year. Did y’all realize that Will Smith slapped Chris Rock a year ago? Every awards show, every radio, podcast, blog, media website, it has been a whole year since the Will Smith slap….So, Will Smith slaps Chris Rock and comedians have been having to crack the same joke for a whole year. Is sh*t that bad?”
