Tamar Braxton Is Engaged: ‘I Can’t Believe I Found What I Was Looking For’

Tamar Braxton has found the one!

The “Love and War” singer and Jeremy “JR” Robinson, a contestant on Peacock‘s new reality dating series Queens Court, are now engaged.

Queens Court, hosted by Holly Robinson Peete and her husband, Rodney Peete, follows Tamar Braxton, Basketball Wives alumna Evelyn Lozada, and singer Nivea as they court several men vying for their love.

Robinson proposed to Tamar Braxton during the show’s final episode. He said,

“I don’t wanna be your friend. I wanna be your husband. I’m here forever because I don’t see my life without you. And I love you.” 

He  continued,

“Tamar. Tamar, will you marry me?”

While acknowledging that she is “crazy” about Robinson, Tamar Braxton accepted his proposal. She said,

“I can’t believe I found what I was looking for.”

Producers of the show have reportedly verified that Robinson and Braxton are still together and “busy planning their wedding” as the series has finally aired on Peacock.

Prior to her relationship with Robinson, Braxton dated David Adefeso for two years, but the couple broke up in 2020 over claims of domestic violence from both parties. The bride-to-be shares nine-year-old son Logan with ex-husband Vincent Herbert, whom she was married to for nine years before calling it quits in 2017.

Braxton‘s engagement news follows that of co-star Evelyn Lozada, who also found love on their new series. Evelyn Lozada — whose former partners include Antoine Walker, Chad Ochocinco, and Carl Crawford — has reportedly been engaged to show finalist LaVon Lewis since December 2022.

The Basketball Wives alum shared that while she and her finalist often spoke about the idea of marriage, she was completely taken aback by the proposal.

Lozada said,

“I didn’t know that he was going to propose that day. I didn’t know what I was walking into.”

She continued,

“He was being very sneaky, and, in all honesty, I was a little irritated because I’m such an Alpha female, and I’m kind of like, ‘Why do I have to pack? Why do I have to do this? It was really, really difficult for me to just let go and allow him to do his thing.”

And things are seemingly going well, as Lewis’ teenage son and Lozada’s eight-year-old son, Leo, with Carl Crawford, reportedly hit it off instantly.

Lozada is excited to step into this new chapter of her life, especially with her man on her side. She added,

“Sometimes… as women, you think, ‘Oh, I’m forty! My life is over!’ But [just] keep working at it. Never give up on love. … I’ve never experienced this energy. In hindsight, it’s clear… I had the wrong person in my life.”
