Ja Morant – Grizzlies ‘Hopeful’ NBA Star Will Return To The Court This Week Following Suspension For Gun Toting Incident
Good news for fans who’ve missed seeing Ja Morant in action!
The NBA star is reportedly expected to make his game return this coming Wednesday (Mar. 22) following a suspension due to a gun-related incident.

Reportedly, the Memphis Grizzlies coach recently stated about Ja Morant’s return:
“We’re hopeful for Wednesday, so long as everything medically clears out,”
The team is scheduled to play at home and will face off against the Dallas Mavericks. Ja Morant’s return comes weeks after he’d been away from the Grizzlies on suspension. As we previously reported, the 23-year-old received an 8-game layoff earlier this month, after being found liable for “conduct detrimental to the league” for events that happened on March 4th.
Reportedly, a wild night out in Denver that evening resulted in a seemingly intoxicated Morant waving a gun around on a live stream video.
Subsequent footage showed that the young athlete had spent another evening partying in the strip club and reportedly spent around $48,000 in tips. When the story first broke, Morant was mandated by the league to spend some time in a counseling facility. A further investigation into the incident, however, ended with the no-pay suspension.

Though the hooper could have technically returned this past Monday (March 20th), coaching staff reportedly held off to allow Morant more time to condition. In a recent interview with sports personality Jalen Rose, the point guard explained the gun was not his, but admitted to making a “bad mistake” by holding it in the first place.
