Update: Latto Slams Reports That She Was Ordered To Complete Diversion Program Following Arrest For Having Loaded Firearm In Airport: ‘I’m Not In No D*mn Program’
Update: (Mar. 23, 2023): Latto is setting the record straight on how she’s been spending her time since getting in trouble for having a firearm at the airport.
According to the Atlanta rapper, despite recent reports, she was never ordered to complete a one-year diversion program after a loaded firearm was discovered in her purse at a Los Angeles airport back in May 2021.
A diversion program aims to rectify the behavior that led to the arrest. In certain states, it’s offered to first-time offenders who have not previously been arrested or convicted of a misdemeanor or a felony offense.
Last night (Mar. 22) Latto tweeted,
“Idk who put out that false *ss information cause I’m not in no d*mn program…also the situation happened over a year ago & y’all never even knew until I mentioned it in the Boom pt 2 verse.”
She added,
“Nun to “brag” about. Leave me alone.”

“Went to LAX w a loaded glock 17 in my Birk got locked & let out in a few hours lmaooo booked a $75k jet to my show in Alabama & still made it on time! no cap in my rap TUH.”

She also addressed the incident in her new song “Boom Pt. 2.” The 24-year-old raps:

Reportedly, after Latto was charged with both carrying a loaded firearm and carrying a concealed weapon, she was mandated to a 12-month diversion program in April 2022. The requirements to complete the program reportedly include a gun safety course and 120 hours of community service.
The rapper must also stay clear of all weapons if she wants her charges to be dismissed this April.
