Tekashi 6ix9ine Sued By American Express For Allegedly Owing Up To $120,000 In Credit Card Debt
Tekashi 6ix9ine is going through a series of unfortunate events.
Reportedly, the Brooklyn drill rapper is being sued by American Express for allegedly owing the credit card company up to $120,000. American Express filed the suit against 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, after consistently trying to contact him for repayment.
The process server had a hard time trying to reach the controversial rainbow-haired artist face-to-face. According to reports, the server located 6ix9ine’s blue Lamborghini and followed him inside of Delicias Cuban Bakery in Miami to hand over the legal documents on Mar. 23.

Based on his content, financial issues seem to be the least of 6ix9ine’s worries. On Apr. 1, he shared a clip to 22 million Instagram followers of him staying in a village with struggling residents, instead of staying in a hotel while in Cuba shooting his music video “Legend.” To help out their community, 6ix9ine gave away $50,000 in cash.
The 26-year-old got served a couple days after his gym beatdown went viral — which probably gave the process server a hint that he was somewhere near Miami. As previously reported, on Mar. 21 6ix9ine was ambushed in a South Florida branch of L.A. Fitness due to his “snitch” reputation. His attackers left the “Gummo” rapper with fractured ribs, a blood clot in his eye, and scratches to his face. His attorney Lance Lazzaro spoke out against the incident and said:
“He was attacked in a sauna at a gym by several thugs who beat him up.”
On Mar. 30 suspects — Rafael Medina Jr. 43, Anthony Maldonado, 25, and Octavious Medina, 23 — were detained for jumping the rapper.
