Soulja Boy Requests New Trial After Being Ordered To Pay Ex-Girlfriend $472k For Allegedly Pistol Whipping & Holding Her Hostage For Hours
Soulja Boy wants a second chance to prove his innocence!
According to RadarOnline, rapper Soulja Boy is accusing the jury in his assault case of misconduct, and because of this, he wants a trial do-over.

Soulja Boy
As previously reported, a woman named Kayla Myers alleged that Soulja Boy physically attacked her at a house party back in 2019.
The “She Make It Clap” rhymer and Kayla Myers had supposedly been in a long-term relationship. Amid a fight with Soulja’s assistant, Kayla Myers claimed that she was knocked to the ground and (subsequently) “bashed” in the head with a gun by Soulja.
Later, she recalled the 32-year-old assigning one of his male employees to tie her to a chair with an extension cord, where she was said to have remained for hours.
Ultimately, Myers was let go at the demand that she (allegedly) provided sexual pleasure to the employee. She recounted having suffered fractured ribs and facial injuries.

Despite photos of Myers’ reported bruises from the incident, Soulja denied all involvement. Following a home raid, officials arrested Soulja for gun possession, which prompted an unrelated probation violation.
Eventually, Myers filed a civil suit against the Chicago-born lyricist, and in April of this year, the “Crank That” phenomenon was ordered to cough up a whopping total of $472,000 in damages… collectively.
Myers’ attorney, Max Engelhardt, told the outlet,
“We’re pleased with the jury’s verdict for $472,000. [Soulja Boy] assaulted and terrorized Kayla [Myers], and that was borne out by the evidence and testimony. The punitive damages were substantial, and hopefully, they will serve as a lesson to [Soulja Boy] that his celebrity status is not a license to commit violence.”
Now, nearly two months later, Soulja has asked a judge to throw out the verdict and allow him to head back to the stand.
His legal representatives documented in the motion,
“[There was an] irregularity in the proceedings of the court, jury or adverse party, or any order of the court or abuse of discretion by which either party was prevented from having a fair trial.”
Additionally, Soulja’s team believes there was a lack of proof on Myers’ end.
This story is still developing. Please check back for updates.
