Tupac Shakur Search Warrant Was For Home Of Gang Member Who Claims He Witnessed Rapper’s Murder
New details have surfaced surrounding the ongoing investigation into the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
The late “Juice” actor recently made headlines after news broke that Las Vegas Metro police conducted a search of a home in connection to his death earlier this week. According to new reports, the home in question belongs to a Crips gang member – Duane “Keefy D” Davis, 60 – who said he was in the car when Tupac — stage name 2Pac — was fatally shot in Las Vegas in 1996. Authorities were reportedly looking for Davis’ laptops and other electronic devices. In addition, the warrant also said investigators searched for,
“notes, writings, ledgers, and other handwritten or typed documents concerning television shows, documentaries, YouTube episodes, book manuscripts, and movies concerning the murder of Tupac Shakur.”

It’s important to note that Tupac’s suspected killer Orlando Anderson was Davis’ nephew who later passed away in a gang-related death in Los Angeles. Initially following the “Keep Ya Head Up” rapper’s death, Davis was investigated by both the LAPD and Las Vegas Metro PD and denied having any connections to the tragic incident. However, he’s since gone on to do numerous interviews about being a witness the night of the shooting.
In a statement recently shared with TMZ, Tupac’s stepbrother, Mopreme, said he’s “not impressed” by the efforts to solve the murder almost 30 years later.
“I’m really not impressed with this late in the game effort. Though I appreciate it, it’s late in the game. Las Vegas nor New York have done any significant investigation so far that we can see … so everyone stay tuned, let’s see what happens. I’m surprised like everyone else.”
A rep for his sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur added,
“We are learning about the case the same way you are and have nothing to say.”
