Sexyy Red Referred To As The ‘Michael Jackson Of This Generation’ In Viral Post, Public Reacts: ‘Y’all So Mad & For What? The Concerts Don’t Lie’
According to the internet, rapstress Sexyy Red’s stardom has reached the level of the late ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson.
In a now-viral post on X (formerly Twitter), a supporter took to their account and shared those sentiments along with a TikTok video of Sexyy Red walking through a crowd of yelling fans.

The individual wrote in the caption,
“sexyy red lowkey the Michael Jackson of our generation…”

While it’s unclear whether or not the clickbait was simply made out of sarcasm, it didn’t take long for fellow occupants of the social media platform to weigh in with their opinions.
The person then followed up with another post, backing their initial statement. They said:
“Y’all so mad and for what? The concerts don’t lie…”

Additionally, the commentator brought up the fact that Sexyy Red has done a plethora of sold-out shows and created a couple of Billboard Hot 100 hits — despite not being signed to a major label.
Originally garnering attention for her music in 2018, with a rendition of Vanessa Carlton’s ‘A Thousand Miles,’ the St. Louis native rose to prominence with her popular single “Pound Town” earlier this year.
Red’s collaboration with fellow lyricist Nicki Minaj for part two has since earned her even more popularity, along with her song ‘SkeeYee’ and feature on DaBaby’s ‘Shake Sumn’ remix. The 25-year-old’s ‘Hood Hottest Princess’ mixtape was released in June and it (ultimately) became one of the most-talked-about projects of the summer.
Although some (seemingly) agreed with the viewpoint, others didn’t waste any time setting the record straight.
Someone quoted,
“girl she ain’t even the JACKSON Mississippi of our generation.”

A co-signer added:
“Y’all’s generation is in worse shape than I thought.”

However, subsequently, another user attempted to point out Red’s said ability to captivate the culture, even with her rambunctious personality and vulgar lyricism.
They argued in contrast,
“It’s really impressive with the type of music she’s making to have a mainstream audience like this. she’s a STAR.”

Red (seemingly) agreed with the relation as she (herself) reshared the post and cited her own rewording of Michael Jackson’s famous ‘Hee Hee’ signature. The pregnant rhymer stated,
“HeeYee!”

Of course, the post has sparked a huge debate online, with over 3,000 shares and 17,000 likes. Many advocated that the legendary Michael Jackson’s impact and the caliber of his artistry were utterly untouchable.
Often deemed ‘The Greatest of All Time,’ Michael Jackson had an illustrious career that spanned four decades, with everything from his music to his moves serving as an unwavering staple in the entertainment industry as a whole.

His contributions to the arts eventually made him a timeless act, as his influence still remains… even after his death. Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009, from overdose-induced cardiac arrest. He was 50.
