Sharon Osbourne Claims Whitney Houston Once Confronted Her About Wanting To Sleep w/ Bobby Brown: ‘I Went Running Down The Aisle’
Looks like Whitney Houston and Sharon Osbourne had a brief moment of tension back in the day.
Sharon Osbourne recently shared a story about being confronted by the famous singer, who allegedly thought the London native was trying to seduce her husband.
Sharon Osbourne, 71, told the tale during a recent episode of her family’s podcast, stating:
“I was hosting the Divas for VH1, and I was at sound check, and Whitney was up on stage doing her sound check….Her little girl [Bobbi Kristina] obviously liked watching The Osbournes and she came up and sat next to me. Gorgeous little thing. And then suddenly her dad came and sat [on] the other side of me, Bobby.”
She continued:
“Whitney’s up there singing, and then she stops singing, and the track is still going, and slowly the track stops and she goes, ‘Mrs. Osbourne, are you trying to f—k my husband?’ And I’m like, ‘No, no, please, I’m not! I went running down the aisle, and I’m like, ‘No, no, no, you don’t understand! No, no, no, I wasn’t.’”
The media personality then stated that Houston proceeded to pull her hand, demanding to see her ring, which she says she immediately gave to the singer as an olive branch. Apparently, things cooled off between the two after Osbourne insisted that she’s happily married (to famed musician Ozzy Osbourne, whom she wed back in 1982), and not at all interested in Brown that way, which she said Houston eventually came to accept.
Taking a look at Houston and Brown’s past, Osbourne’s revelation doesn’t seem too far-fetched. Their marriage, which lasted from 1992 – 2007, was infamously riddled with addiction, fights, love, and continuous marital woes. If you recall, the “New Edition” member opened up about how heavy substance abuse affected their relationship last year, stating he doesn’t believe they would’ve divorced if it wasn’t for drugs and alcohol and that Houston would likely still be alive. The music icon was found deceased back in 2012 after accidentally drowning in a bathtub following a cocaine overdose.
Despite their issues, however, it was well known that the two loved each other deeply, and defended their tumultuous marriage many times throughout their careers. It doesn’t appear that Brown has made any comments about Osbourne’s story at this time.
