Kimora Lee Simmons Reveals Her House Recently Caught Fire + Thanks The LAFD Who She Says “Quite Possibly Saved Our Lives”

An alarming house fire has fashionista Kimora Lee Simmons filled with gratitude.

The Baby Phat owner took her social media recently to share images from the aftermath of fire in her L.A. home, and gave her sincere thanks to local authorities.

Uploading several images of the Los Angeles Fire Department team tending to the flames, Kimora Lee Simmons wrote:

“My house caught fire. The kids and I are all fine”

She continued:

“I cannot express the deepest gratitude to the numerous battalions, ladders and units that attended to us for many hours today and quite possibly saved our lives THANK YOU!

It’s unclear how or what exactly started the fire. Though it appears the damage was limited to what seems to be Simmons‘ living room area. Additionally, it’s also unclear which of the celebs five children were present at the time, if not all. The 48-year-old is a single mom to Ming, 23, and Aoki, 21, who she shares with her ex-husband Russell Simmons. The youngest of the two was recently engaged in an internet spat with her famous dad who she slammed for allegedly being verbally abusive and manipulative.

Simmons also shares son Kenzo, 14, with her ex Djimon Hounsou, and has a son named Wolfe, 8, with her estranged second husband Tim Leissner. At present, Leissner awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to partaking in a billion dollar fraud scheme involving a Malaysian investment fund. The former banker was also discovered to have forged divorce documents on two different occasions, including the ones ahead of his 2014 marriage to the Simmons.

Additionally, Simmons has one other son, Gary, 10, who legally became part of her family via adoption back in 2020. No other details have been shared regarding the house fire at this time.
