Jermaine Dupri & Tank Defend Ari Lennox After She Shares The Poor Treatment She Experienced While Performing On Rod Wave’s Tour
Musical artists Jermaine Dupri and Tank recently showed their support for Ari Lennox after the songstress expressed that she was treated poorly during her latest tour run.
As you may know, Ari Lennox joined rapper Rod Wave as an opener for his “Nostalgia Tour,” which kicked off on October 19 and concluded on December 18. The tour also featured supporting acts from Toosii, G Herbo, and Eelmatic.

During a recent Instagram livestream, the “Pressure” singer shared her experience performing while on tour with Rod Wave, calling it “the worst tour of her life.”

The 32-year-old R&B singer shared,
“It was so annoying ‘cause like, you could be singing your a** off and they don’t give a sh*t. They’re not there for you. They’re there for music that will never be like my music. They’re there for voices that will never be like my voice.”
Ari Lennox continued,
“And so, it just got old after a while of just like, I’m giving you glam, I’m giving you my whole a**hole, I’m giving you my soul, I’m giving you my vocals and nothing was ever enough.”

She then went on and explained that she was never comfortable on stage based off the audience reaction during her sets. Ari also addressed the incident back in November when an audience member seemingly threw a water bottle at her during the tour’s stop in Inglewood, California.
“It was tough and it was heavy on my soul like feeling that energy. Especially the day when the bottle happened because that side of the stage, like I felt the energy. I wasn’t surprised that it happened. I felt it. First of all, it was just all darkness. That’s literally the energy that was coming from the left side.”

Following Ari’s live video, R&B singer/songwriter Tank took to the IG comment section of theJasmineBRAND’s post to invite her on tour with him and dropped some words of encouragement.
Tank wrote,
“@arilennox go wit me! We are R&B SINGERS! And we love you!”

Record producer/rapper Jermaine Dupri also offered his support to the D.C. native. He uploaded a video of Ari to his X account (formerly known as Twitter) of her joking around and singing during the livestream.
Jermaine Dupri captioned the post,
“I wanna cry watching this @arilennox cause I love you and I love making music that people really f*ck with, yo @munilong we might need to put her on the sweat Remix”
