Bill Cosby’s Rep Says Comedian’s Wife Is ‘Not Leaving Him’ Despite Rumors Their Marriage Is On The Rocks: ‘She Wouldn’t Divorce Him Now, It Doesn’t Make Sense’
Camille Cosby is sticking beside her man–no matter what.
According to reports, actor/comedian Bill Cosby’s agent has shut down allegations of a possible split between the Cosby couple… yet again.
For quite some time now, headlines have spewed that Bill Cosby’s wife, Camille, had finally decided to pull the plug on their decades-long marriage. If you didn’t know, Bill Cosby wedded his now-longtime bride in 1964. Together, they share five children.
Amid ‘The Cosby Show’ icon’s sexual assault controversy, there were talks that the pressures from the high-profile cases were weighing on their union, which (allegedly) resulted in Camille eyeing a divorce. Additionally, it was believed that the two had begun living in separate houses.
However, Cosby’s spokesman, Andrew Wyatt, recently told RadarOnline,
“[Camille’s] not leaving him. He’s 86 and she’s almost 80. She wouldn’t divorce him now. [laughs] It doesn’t make sense. She loves Mr. Cosby.”
Wyatt also mentioned that the pair had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Even though it’s said that they no longer sport their rings, he assured that Camille “is not giving up on their marriage.”
Previous sources cited that Cosby resides in Pennsylvania while Camille stays in Massachusetts, but Wyatt challenged the rumor by revealing that Camille serves as a caretaker for her husband since he’s legally blind.
He furthered:
“At their age, they don’t have to prove anything to anyone.”
As you may know, starting in the early 2000s, Cosby was hit with numerous misconduct claims dating back to the 1960s. In 2018, he was found guilty on 3 counts of aggravated indecent assault and sentenced to up to 10 years in prison. Ultimately, the conviction was overturned due to violations of his due process rights, and he was released in 2021.
Just last year, 9 more (alleged) victims came forward, accusing him of taking advantage of his “enormous power, fame, and prestige” to abuse them.
The piled-up legal fees from the lawsuits have reportedly caused Cosby and Camille to face major financial troubles.
Could that be grounds for Mrs. Cosby to eventually make her exit?
Only time will tell.
