Porsha Williams’ Estranged Husband Simon Guobadia Fights Not To Pay Bravo Star’s $50,000 Legal Bill
Simon Guobadia is opposing his soon-to-be ex-wife Porsha Williams’ request that he cover her attorney fees.
According to reports, the businessman argued against the request in a recent court motion, claiming that the reality star has no legal right to demand his money.

A report from RadarOnline states that Simon Guobadia’s lawyer argued that Porsha Williams has not legally proven why her ex should be required to foot the 5-figure legal bill. The legal professional reportedly wrote in the court document:
“This Court should deny [Porsha’s] request for attorney’s fees because she has failed to provide a statutory basis for the request as required under Georgia law.”

She added:
“[Porsha’s] request for a lump sum award of $50,000 in attorney’s fees is not allowed by law.”
The motion submitted on behalf of her client came as a response to Porsha Williams‘ legal team asking the court to mandate that Simon Guobadia pay her rising attorney fees. Arguing that Williams is only incurring a rising debt because of Guobadia challenging their prenup, the TV star’s lawyer wrote:
“Wife has incurred and will continue to incur significant attorneys’ fees and expenses of litigation to defend against Husband’s Motion, which includes false statements and allegations, and requests that Husband be ordered to pay Wife temporary attorney’s fees in the amount of $50,000.00 given that his actions have caused Wife to not only file her Request for Immediate and Emergency Relief, but also to respond to the instant Motion.”

It has not been reported that a judge has ruled on the matter at this time. As we’ve been covering, Guobadia and Williams have been engaged in a messy public divorce battle since The Real Housewives of Atlanta star filed to separate from her husband of 15 months back in February of this year.

Thus far, the two have battled it out in court over the rights to their marital home, the validity of their prenup, and the reason behind their split in the first place. If you recall, shortly before announcing their break-up, reports about Guobadia’s alleged criminal US history began circulating, which Williams later confirmed played a significant role in her decision to leave the relationship.
While it doesn’t appear that either one has commented about their latest court motions publicly, Guobadia did recently share a message to his haters, writing on his Instagram story:
“If you don’t mind being blocked, feel free to speak disrespectfully”
