Addressing the rumors head-on, Martin Lawrence said during an appearance with Will Smith Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning that he is in good health.

Ebro asked,

Martin responded,

“I’m fine, I’m in God’s hands. I’m blessed. I’m glad to be waking up everyday … No need for people to be concerned.”

He continued,

Although Lawrence did not provide a detailed account of the specific moment with Smith, his assurance during the interview made it clear that there were no underlying health concerns.

They highlighted a 1996 incident when Lawrence was hospitalized after running into traffic, shouting and cursing. A doctor later attributed his condition to extreme exhaustion and dehydration.
