Kehlani Granted A Restraining Order Against Ex Javaughn Young-White Amid Custody Battle Over Their Daughter & Claims He Was Abusive For Years + He Denies Her Allegations w/ Screenshots Of Text Messages

The drama between Kehlani and Javaughn Young-White, her ex and the father of her child, is getting even more intense.

theJasmineBrand previously reported that Javaughn Young-White requested custody of his and the singer’s 5-year-old daughter, Adeya.

Reports at the time claimed he accused Kehlani of being in a cult, and that he expressed concern that the cult leader had been accused of sexual assault. He later denied that he made those allegations and said his lawyer filed court papers without his consent and fired his attorney. He also apologized to the priest and his church.

But Kehlani isn’t giving up in the ongoing custody battle. She filed and was granted a temporary restraining order against Javaughn Young-White and accused him of physical, verbal and emotional abuse in court documents.

She alleged that he was abusive for years, including when she was pregnant with Adeya. She said she didn’t take legal action until an alleged “enraged” incident in June when he allegedly  “smashed through [their] locked bedroom doors [in] a fit of anger.”

He allegedly called her a “b*tch” and a “liar” and said he trapped her with Adeya. He also allegedly became explosive when she asked him about his decision to apply for public assistance because he was living with her at the time and just t “smoking marijuana every day and all day” as well as allegedly using psychedelics.

She said his “personal hygiene and self-care” is not up to par, and claimed that after spending time with him, Adeya comes home smelling like marijuana.

She said he “scares” her, and that she “can imagine it is very upsetting to a small child,” adding,

“He is not emotionally well and appears to suffer from periods of despair and often tirades of uncontrollable anger and rage. When he is agitated, he cannot stop moving and throws his arms in the air while yelling and screaming at me, often throwing items and calling me horrible names.”

She said she let him stay on the property because he “promised to be a better parent” but allegedly has yet to make good on it and instead continues his alleged pattern of “chaos and abuse.”

Under the order, Young-White is not allowed to contact Kehlani on the phone or through email. He has to stay at least 100 yards away from her and Adeya as well as the child’s school.

Kehlani will keep full legal and physical custody of their daughter during the restraining order.

Commissioner Jeffrey W. Korn pointed to Young-White’s alleged history of abuse and ruled that there was a chance he he would kidnap Adeya. Considering this, he is not allowed to leave the state of California with the child or apply for travel documents like a passport.

He also cannot own or buy firearms or ammunition under the order.

A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 3.

Meanwhile, Young-White has since responded with a series of screenshot text messages that he said is between him and Kehlani. See those below.
