Former NBA Star J.R. Smith & “Flash” Actress Candice Patton Welcome Child Together
Congratulations to J.R. Smith and Candice Patton on the birth of their new child!
The co-parents shared photos of the baby boy to their respective Instagram pages over the weekend, revealing that the two have been romantically involved with each other nearly 5 years after Smith’s wife aired out their affair on social media.
Candice Patton, 36, uploaded pictures and videos of the newborn with his face covered with emoji’s, including an image of heavily tattooed hand holding the infant, captioning the post:
“Son in Virgo
Born at home
Heart now beats outside of my chest
In love forevermore”
Hours later a joint post tagging both Patton and Smith, 39, was shared, which pictured the 2X NBA champion smiling while holding the newest addition to his family.
The baby announcement comes as a shock to many as Smith has been married to his wife Shirley since 2016 and shares two children with her, daughters Dakota, 7, and Denver, 4.
The hooper also has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Back in 2019, a video of Shirley praying over her husband and his then alleged mistress (Patton) went viral, where she pleaded to God to restore her marriage and show mercy to the “Flash” star for “seeking out a married man.”
