In a post to Threads, she wrote:
“I was on the set of a Tyler Perry movie once and saw him fire one of his actresses. A Hispanic lady from the catering crew had messed up her lunch order and she was very, VERY rude about it.”
She continued:
“The next day, that actress was gone and her replacement was there. Mr. Perry had a talk with the entire cast and crew about being respectful on his set to EVERYBODY. He made it very clear that he was not above letting anyone go. When I say he is a treasure, that’s the type of stuff I’m talking about.”
Adding:
“He has a lot of empathy and he is a very kind human being! The actress made the caterer cry. That’s how nasty and disrespectful she was. Tyler Perry was having none of that! He told us that everyone deserves respect. Everyone. From the janitor to the celebrities.”
The woman went on to state that Perry used the disheartening moment to bring about something positive, however, sharing that he ended up promoting someone from the background crew to replace the fired actress.
