Kanye West & Adidas Settle Ongoing Lawsuits: ‘No One Owes Anybody Anything’
The war between Kanye West and Adidas has finally come to an end.
Multiple outlets report that the shoe company’s CEO Bjørn Gulden shared they’ve reached an out-of-court agreement with the hip-hop star which won’t include any payments. He stated:
“There isn’t any more open issues, and there is no… money going either way, and we both move on.”
Continuing:
“There were tensions on many issues, and… when you put the claims on the right side and you put the claims on the left side, both parties said we don’t need to fight anymore and withdrew all the claims.”
West was dropped by Adidas back in 2022 following a string of ill-perceived remarks and criticisms he made about the Jewish community.
His popular Yeezy brand reportedly accounted for half of Adidas’ inventory prior to their split, leaving the company to slowly attempt to sell off $1.3 billion worth of leftover products.
The former collaborators have been engaged in a series of lawsuits since, with West claiming the company was attempting to sue him for more than $250 million.
All matters have now been resolved, however, with Gulden reportedly adding in his media address:
“No one owes anybody anything anymore…So whatever was is history.”
