Ari Lennox Demands To Be Released From Dreamville & Interscope Records: ‘I Wish I Had A Label That Cared’
Ari Lennox is done playing nice with her label, Dreamville. Following the release of her latest single, “Smoke,” the singer took to Instagram Live to express her frustrations over the lack of promotion and support for her music.
During the live, Ari Lennox stated,
“I wish I had a label that cared. That would want to protect me. I wish I had a label that wouldn’t have me out here trying to explain why I need advertisement, why I need advertisement for my record … You cannot expect an artist to be anything without advertisement. Like, you can’t. You can’t. Why am I begging for advertisement? Why am I paying for my own Google ads? No, it’s not OK.”
Her frustration came to a head as she declared,
“So, I just want to be released, and it’s just that simple. And I’m tired of being nice… This was my final straw.”
