California Voters Reject Statewide Minimum Wage Increase
California voters narrowly rejected a measure to raise the minimum wage from $16 to $18 per hour, marking a setback for worker rights in the progressive state.
The initiative, which would have set the highest statewide wage in the country, received about 49.2% of votes.
Is this disappointing news for Californians?
