Wanda Dench & Jamal Hinton Reunite For Their 9th Thanksgiving Celebration After Accidental Test
Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton are keeping their heartwarming tradition alive, reuniting for their ninth Thanksgiving together after a friendship sparked by a mistaken text in 2016.
Jamal shared his excitement on Instagram, writing,
“Excited to announce that I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year for Wanda and I! ?? Looking forward to a day filled with good food, great company, and lasting memories. Year 9 coming soon! ?”
The news comes a month after Wanda revealed her breast cancer diagnosis. Reflecting on her journey, she said,
“I’ve learned a lot of life’s lessons through it all, but what I want to stress most of all is just because you may be older, we still have a life to live. So continue getting your checkups, and continue to live YOUR life!”
The duo’s unlikely bond began when Wanda accidentally texted Jamal an invitation meant for her grandson. When Jamal jokingly asked if he could still come, Wanda replied,
“Of course you can. That’s what grandmas do … feed everyone.” The rest is history.”
