Dennis Rodman Apologizes To His Estranged Daughter Trinity: ‘Sorry I Wasn’t The Dad You Wanted Me To Be’
Dennis Rodman is apologizing to his estranged daughter, Trinity Rodman, for not being the father she wanted him to be.
The former NBA star posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, alongside a collage of photos of the two, expressing regret over their strained relationship.
He wrote,
“Sorry I wasn’t the dad you wanted me to be, but either way, I still tried and I still try, and I never will stop. I will keep trying, even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try, even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time. I’m always here.”

This apology comes after Trinity opened up about their damaged bond on the Call Her Daddy podcast, revealing that despite his occasional presence at her games, she hasn’t heard from him since their last meeting in November 2021. She expressed that she no longer believes a relationship with him is possible, saying,
“He’s not a dad… Maybe by blood, but nothing else.”
Despite the distance, Trinity has flourished in her own career, becoming the youngest woman drafted to the NWSL and winning gold at the 2024 Olympics.
