Singer-Songwriter Tiffany Red Blasts Chloe Bailey For Releasing Records w/o ‘The Writer’s Knowledge Or Consent’: ‘He Was Not Paid’
2025 appears to be kicking off with a legal battle for Chloe Bailey.
Last week famed singer-songwriter Tiffany Red, who’s known for advocating for smaller songwriters, shared a post online alleging that an individual wasn’t paid for their writing contributions to Chloe Bailey’s Trouble In Paradise album, which was released on August 9, 2024. Calling the Atlanta native out, Tiffany shared a post that said,
“The songwriter who wrote this song wrote three songs on @chloebailey’s album “Trouble In Paradise.” These songs were released without the writer’s knowledge or consent, and he only discovered their inclusion in the album after it was released. This songwriter wrote two of the three songs for another artist solo before the producer placed the songs on this album and didn’t tell him. He was not paid, the splits are still incomplete, and this album came out in August or [SIC] 2024! The songwriter’s attorney has done all she can to resolve this situation amicably. This is unacceptable, @parkwood and @columbiarecords. Please do better and make this situation right.”

In follow-up posts, Tiffany answered questions from fans, claiming that the writer of the tracks had no clue that the producer, BONGO ByTheWay, passed the records to Chloe. Tiffany then went live briefly on IG today (Jan. 7) and shared that after a conversation with Chloe’s attorney, that didn’t go well, the situation will now be handled in the courtroom.
