Flavor Flav Teams Up w/ GoFundMe & The Black Music Action Coalition For A Fundraiser To Support Black Families Affected By L.A. Fires
Flavor Flav has partnered with GoFundMe and the Black Music Action Coalition to launch a fundraiser aiding Black families impacted by the recent Los Angeles wildfires.
Announcing the initiative on Instagram, the Public Enemy icon emphasized the need for solidarity and targeted support.
“This is Flavor Flav in the building,” he said in a video, praising community efforts while highlighting disparities in aid for Black families. “There’s not enough being done for the Black families and the communities. Let’s make L.A. strong, baby.”
The campaign, which has raised over $35,000 as of January 21, seeks contributions from celebrities and the general public. “I urge not only Black artists and creators but EVERYONE to come together,” Flav added.
The wildfires, which began earlier this month, have destroyed homes and claimed lives, affecting celebrities like Chris Brown and Tyra Banks. Flav’s call to action underscores the need for equitable recovery efforts.
