Southwest Plane Evacuated In Houston After Reported Engine Fire
A Southwest flight had to return to Houston shortly after takeoff.
On Thursday (Apr. 17), a #SouthwestAirlines Boeing 737 that departed from Hobby Airport was forced to turn back around 11:15 a.m. due to a reported engine fire, according to the Houston Fire Department. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, along with a small grass fire near the runway.

The plane, which was headed to Los Cabos International Airport in Mexico, landed safely. Passengers were evacuated using emergency slides and later placed on a new flight to Cabo.
