‘The Last of Us’ Actor Pedro Pascal Calls ‘Harry Potter’ Author J.K. Rowling ‘Heinous Loser’ Over Anti-Trans Views
Pedro Pascal is adding his voice to the growing backlash against famed author J.K. Rowling.

The Last of Us actor called out Rowling after she celebrated a U.K. court ruling that transgender women should not be recognized as women under Britain’s Equality Act. Rowling backed the ruling and posted a photo of herself on a yacht with a cigar and cocktail, writing,
“I love it when a plan comes together.”

Pascal responded by calling her post “heinous loser behavior,” describing the ruling as “awful disgusting,” in an Instagram comment.

He also wore a “Protect the Dolls” T-shirt to the Thunderbolts premiere to show support for trans women. The message is personal as his sister, Lux Pascal, came out as trans in 2021, and he has openly supported her ever since.

His comments come as Max prepares to turn the Harry Potter films into a streaming series. While it is unclear how involved Rowling will be in the new version, many fans are already saying they will not be watching. Some are also boycotting the original Harry Potter films. It’s worth noting that the original casts of the beloved magical series have spoken out against J.K. Rowling and her anti-trans rhetoric several times before.
