Tory Lanez’s Legal Team Hasn’t Submitted Alleged New Evidence Amid Effort To Overturn Conviction In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting
Tory Lanez’s legal team is still fighting to overturn his conviction in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case, but according to journalist Meghann Cuniff, they haven’t actually submitted what they claim is “new evidence” to the appellate court.
“The claim about new evidence hasn’t been filed in the appellate case. Until it is, it’s not going to factor into anything,” Cuniff wrote on X.
This comes after Unite The People held a press conference claiming that Kelsey Harris’ driver and bodyguard during the 2022 trial allegedly overheard her admit to firing the gun at Megan in 2020.

Meanwhile, Tory is still serving a 10-year sentence and was recently stabbed 14 times while behind bars. Addressing the stabbing, Cuniff added,
“It is not at all funny what happened.”
Megan’s attorney issued a statement on the claims of new evidence and said,
“Tory Lanez was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers and his case was properly adjudicated through the court system. This is not a political matter. This is a case of a violent assault that was resolved in the court of law.”
